VANDALISM CHARGES PENDING AGAINST SEN.  GRAMS' SON

ANOKA, Minn.  ( AP ) -- The son of Minnesota Sen.  Rod Grams faces possible charges for vandalizing property at a convenience store, police said Thursday.

Police were dispatched to a SuperAmerica store around 10:30 p.m.  Saturday in response to a report that Morgan Grams might have damaged property, said Capt.  Tom Anderson.

Grams, 21, had been drinking and either knocked over merchandise or damaged the door of a cooler, police said.  He was not arrested, but charges could be filed next week after an investigation determines the amount of damage to property, Anderson said.
