Consequently, a positive test result will not only confirm Oxycodone but other opiates as well. The 2000 ng/ml detection level of the regular opiate test would not detect Oxycodone. Drug Testing For Opiate

Opiates are one of the most addictive drugs with analgesic and sedative effects. Sample collection:
The urine specimen should be collected in a dry and clean container. Urine collected at any time of the day can be used for the test. How to take the test:
Prior to testing, allow the specimen and test card to reach the room temperature. Remove the test card from the pouch and discard the small moisture absorbent packet. Immerse the test strip vertically in the urine specimen for 10 to 15 seconds, with arrows pointing towards the urine. Then place the test card on a non-absorbent flat surface and start the timer. Consider the results after 5 minutes of the test.
Interpretation of the test:
For a positive result, a red line appears in the control (C) region and no line appears in the test (T) region. For a negative result, a red line appears in the control (C) region and a red or pink line in the test (T) region. Control (C) line fails to appear for an invalid result. This may happen due to the insufficient specimen volume or incorrect procedural techniques.
This test card provides preliminary analytical test result. More specific chemical methods such as Gas chromatography/mass spectrometry (GC/MS) should be used to get confirmed analytical result, particularly after positive result in preliminary analytical test.
